    The annual ACASA UK Groovy Soca Monarch Final saw the best of the best in the UK battle it out for the title of UK Soca Monarch.

    The show was held on 18 August at The Tabernacle, Powis Square, London W11. Songs and artists were judged against the weighted criteria of ‘lyrical content’, ‘originality’, ‘rendition and delivery’, ‘musical arrangement’, ‘melody/tune’, ‘artistic impression’ and ‘audience response’.

    Leah Sophia impressed the judges and audience with her song Sumbaday, and was crowned UK Groovy Soca Monarch 2023.
