The UK Junior Calypso Monarch 2023 competition was held to showcase the talent and showmanship of children aged from 8 to 13.
The young talents displayed an outstanding command of their mastery in their performances, but Akeera Belfon-George emerged as the reigning Monarch with her song Why Me.
The contestants were evaluated based on a set of weighted criteria, including lyrical content, originality, rendition and delivery, musical arrangement, melody/tune, artistic impression, and audience response.
The competition was held on Friday 18 August.

3rd Kyran Brown – Magic At Powis Square (177 points).
4th Mila van den Berg – Ballet And Dance (175 points)
5th Tesiah and Jeremiah Morrison – The Beach (171 points)
